Hello All,
I'm not talking of bulges, as in playing bulges, but a physical bulge! When I was quite young and had been playing the oboe for about 2 years, I developed a kind of bulge where my diaphragm is, just under my ribs. Now I'm not so slender, it's not as obvious, but it is certainly still there!
No-one's ever talked about this before but I know it exists with other people too (!) because somebody told me once an oboe teacher told them not to take up the oboe because of the horrible 'bulge'!
Has anybody else got one of these or heard of/seen it!? Or am I being totally bonkers!?
