 Six Studies in English Folk-Song

I have an adaptation for clarinet and piano of Vaughan Williams Six Studies in English Folk Song and need to communicate tempo suggestions to my pianist. So I'm looking for suggestions from anyone who has worked them up for performance. There are a few you-tube performances which seem to vary from just under 60 to 80 in the slower movements. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have performed these a number of times, and also tried a variety of tempos. I’ve settled on fairly slow tempos, believing I can maximize expression………maybe. Anyway, here’s the tempos I settled on:

I. 58
II. 48
III. 50
IV. 60
V. 76
VI. 144
