Well, Vasilis...

I play a small amount of Greek stuff too but I don't know enough of ussak to help...what are the notes? (I tend to stick to hejaz and hejazkar and rast...LOL!)

When I got an Albert clarinet in C last summer I found that some things were easier and some things were not easier. It just depends on the modes and the key and such. The A clarinet should help when playing with strings, of course...

The Bulgarian clarinetist Georgi Koev played on an A Albert system. The tunes I learned from the one recording someone made available would definitely work better on an A clarinet if one wants to play with strings.
