Ok, thank you for the help on the mouthpiece for my Buffet Albert clarinet in A... a b45 worked very good. Now here is the issue. as I said I play greek folk music. the reason that I bought this gem of a clarinet in A is because I thought and told that the fingering for the type of music that I play will be easier....Playing Usak in La (A) seemed easier to me on the Bb clarinet than the A.....Same for the rest of the "paths"....Where am I wrong here....help if you can
thank you

Well, Vasilis...
I play a small amount of Greek stuff too but I don't know enough of ussak to help...what are the notes? (I tend to stick to hejaz and hejazkar and rast...LOL!)
When I got an Albert clarinet in C last summer I found that some things were easier and some things were not easier. It just depends on the modes and the key and such. The A clarinet should help when playing with strings, of course...
The Bulgarian clarinetist Georgi Koev played on an A Albert system. The tunes I learned from the one recording someone made available would definitely work better on an A clarinet if one wants to play with strings.
