It depends on whether you want a professional level horn or an intermediate level horn. Signet is an intermediate instrument. The difference between USA and French is that the USA ones are mostly beginner/intermediate, and the French are the pro horns.

I'd recommend looking at used instruments. If you find a nice old Selmer Series 9 or Series 10 (both pro horns) you'll probably love them!
