Can anyone tell me *anything* about this clarinet? I have been playing for over 20 years, and a friend of mine who collects and repairs old violins gave this clarinet to me. It looks to be handmade, with hand-drilled holes and keys. The barrels have red twine instead of the normal cork; the pads...red leather or rubber? When I look into the barrel, it's metal (nickel?) I see no other identifying marks, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? Nothing on the bell or near the thumbrest... I've never seen anything like this, and in this forum, people talk about handmade clarinets with marks... This, it appears, has nothing to show who made it or when! Can anyone help? If it's worth something, I will probably sell. I don't like to put my mouth on anything I don't know where it's been already....
Here's where the pictures are, if anyone wants to take a guess at what this is:
