I play in a community church orchestra (members made up of people from different area churches), and we play during the warmer months outside at a park--both scared and secular pieces. We always have an offering taken, and someone (or a small group) doing an offertory. Last year we clarinets did "The Entertainer". I'm wondering if this year we could do something else.
There are four of us clarinets. Does anybody here have any book titles (or individual piece titles) of easy to intermediate arrangements of folk or Klemzer music? I did a quick search, but couldn't find anything--I was probably plugging in the wrong keywords.
Thanks,
Ann

The problem with many folk tunes is that they rarely exist as ensemble score - usually there's the lead voice plus more or less improvised accompaniment.
How'bout some folk canons?
Then there are Satie's Gymnopédies/Gnossiennes that could easily be "blown up" to a quartet.

Thanks for this, Ben. What I'm looking for could even be in two parts. When we did the Entertainer, we just split the parts-two did the 1st part, 2 did the 2nd part.
Even some tunes that are one part, but are divided, would work. I'll look into the Satie piece.
