Hi all,

I finaly got my 5JB yesterday as I always wanted one. I was fortunate enough to have this given to me by my fatherinlaw who back in the late 50's and early 60's was a profesional clarinetist with the then Macedonian Radio and Television. Yes I play/try to play Macedonian music.

To date I have been using B45 and have found it to be somewhat resistant for me and after researching and following the discussions here I thought 5JB would be the go. When I tried it yesterday I had dificulty playing with even 1.5 Ricoh Royale. I am prepared to persevere until I get my embouchere rightht, however is the 5JB moore free blowing and less resistant than the B45? Does it give you better response in the registers, as I have been having problems with the high notes using the B45.

From what I am experiencing it certainly requires alot more air suport. Is 1 the lowest in reed grade?

Your comments suggestions would be most appreciated.
