Conn is a decent sax. i've heard of really great conns that play very well, but i've also heard of saxs that aren't worth the reeds they play on. if your horn is good sounding then stick with it. there are good horns out there that sound great that aren't a big brand, just be careful when you purchase, the pads are good, keys are ailigned and it plays notes. hope this helps.

Conn is a good brand. In my experience more renowned for produceing fine quality trumpets. My Bari Sax is a
Conn and i think it sounds ok.

Conn has made some fine saxophones but their clarinets were always second rate.

Conn? It depends.

Modern Conns are all student horns. If you bought such a thing thinking it was anything else, you make a blunder. Old Conn's like the 6M/10M are nice pro instruments with a nice value in the Vintage Market. Any Conns before those are nice sounding instruments with very spotty intonation and cumbersome keywork and some vintage value. Examples of these are New Wonder's, New Wonder II's (Chu Berrys), and Transitional models. Later Conns (after the 10M and before the modern student models) are decent horns that have little vintage value. The Conn "Shooting Star" may be considered an intermediate (as such), except if manufactured in Mexico where quality problems emerged.

why are u so brand orientated?? When I was in picking my latest sax I played every last sax in the shop until I found 1 that argreed with me and that I could produce a good sound from, and that actually turned out to be one of the cheaper saxaphones, if u can make a sax work well then that's the one for u, it doesnt matter what the brand is!!
