 Baritone Saxophone and Low A
Author: Katie Michelle

I have a problem. My band director asked me to start playing Bari a week ago. I have played alto sax for 7 years, clarinet for 3, and alto clarinet for 6 months. I can get low notes out, but I'm having trouble with low A. I have the extra key below the thumb rest, so i know that I should be able to play it. What is the correct fingering for it? I have seen it as 123A-123C or 123BbA-123C or 123A-123. Which is the correct way???
Thanks a ton!

According to the fingering charts here on WFG, it is:

123A | 123C

That's for the model with low A key operated by the left little finger. THere's also a model with a left thumb operated A key, with similar fingering:

A 123 | 123C
