 what should i do?

the neck on my sax is kinda difficult to take off. its not dirty but it is kinda old. so what should i do to make it easier to assemble and disassemble my tenor? thanks, any help is appreciated

there should be a screw you can loosen to make it easier. if it isn't that you can use cork grase, and very lightly coat it. if you have too much it can flop around and be more of a nuisance then of any good. hope this helps.

i was told never to use cork grease because it would make it too loose. if i used very little would it still be too loose?

it may need to be professionally cleaned.If you see green gunk right in the hole of the body or and/or around the neck thats a big yes,u need it cleaned

cork grease isn't a sure measure ot fix the problem its a temporary measure. and if you do use it, use very very little. about 1/10 of how much you'd use on cork.
