i need to know how to make my own reeds! i have a kit but any tips for it like how to use some of the tools! the kit was given to me by my aunt and contains no directions on how to make them and no info. on what the tools are used for. any help at all will be a BIG help. so far ive made 1 reed that doesnt sound that good but it makes a decent sound. i had to guess what each tool is for and had a little success by other websites but none of them could help much. Please send any info when u can! thank you!

One of the problems I (and other) amateur reed makers seem to encounter is the inability to make a decent-looking turk's head ball knot. Commercial reeds regularly have fine-looking knots, even though that is about the only good thing about many of them. Are there any suggestions (or free websites) about various techniques of making (and tying!) good looking knots?
