Help! I have been longing to play the oboe and have just taken the plunge. I am renting (to own) an oboe whose brand starts with the letter A (sorry for the lack of complete name). What I need to know.....is this a quality brand for a beginner? I live in a small town and that is the only brand the music store has to offer. I'd like to stop the rental process if this is a poor choice and go with an out-of-town music store.
Thanks in advance!

Is it an Artley? I haven't heard much about them, good or bad.

If it is an Artley I have only good things to say about it. Especially if it's the beginner model. I have never had a bad experience with an Artley oboe.
