Are there any good sites that have some sample songs that
beginners can play. I haven't had any luck finding any
good books or videos on the alto sax.

well, u are not specific enough. if your are a beginner who is struggling blowing the horn. suggest you to practice on that and master the proper breathing techneque and embrochure. if you master those, you would have an easier time play your sax. well if you are master of all those, you should go to a music stores nearest you and buy a book that concentrates on the logic of music, that features scales such as major minor so and so. you want to establish a solid fundamentals to taste the full effect on your performance. i as a semi-pro sax player, who played saxed since i very early age, i recommend to practice those fundamentals cause most people wind up going back later when they suppose to have mastered them earlier. But if you insist, there is a site that provides music sheets www.jwpepper.com however, one thing once you mastered those fundamentals you are not a beginner anymore.. therefore it is essential to bear in mind that these basic ought to be master at the earliest possible time.
