How do u inprove your tone on a Bb clarinet so u have a melodic sound instead of a harsh sound?

practise. if you do long tones, that will over time help you approve your tone. also experiment in tonguing. if you attack the reed, you will get a harsh sound, but if you tongue lightly and quickly, you will have a softer tone. hope this helps.
