1. If you have the stock mouthpiece that came with your clarinet, throw it away and get a decent one.
2. Practice lots of long notes.

there are lots of things u can do to improve the sound on ur clarinet..
1. try to adjust your mouth position.. it can sometimes effect the sound..
2.make sure you're sitting up strait when you play.. when you slouch it really makes the sound flat..
3. like the person before me said.. try getting a really good mouthpiece if you don't already..
4. practice.. not only does this help u kno ur part but it helps u practice your mouth position and long notes and stuff like that
if u do these things, you should get some really good sound from the instrument

to insure a full, warm sound on the stick, it certainly helps to have an idea of what you want your sound to be. Also, think of the air coming up from your belly, through your throat, and being shaped by the inner contour of your mouth, tongue... . Long tones and a friendly set-up will help you achieve what you're looking for... and patience.
