 Recorders

Hey everyone! I'm playing in a recorder ensemble for our high school's Madrigal dinner. I'm playing the first soprano part, as is the Recorder captain. No matter how hard we try, we can't get our Ds in tune...we try blowing harder and softer, but it doesn't work. Are there other ways to get our recorders in tune?

try alternate fingerings, or making up some of you own.

Are you saying the the D's on the two recorders are out of tune with the rest of the notes, or with each other?

Are you using the standard D fingering: 2nd finger of left hand covering a hole, all other holes open? Are you playing sharp or flat?

Sorry I wasn't more specific! :)

The Ds are out of tune with each other. We're playing it with the standard D fingering. I'm flat, the other girl is sharp.
