Maybe this needs a lot of practice but just wondering. When playing the middle or high register, tonguing, should the lips never meet? It feels like 'bbu.' Does the embouchure have to be wide and a little tall? Should the lower lip be out a little more than the upper lip or the upper lip be out a little more than the lower lip? (I guess I meant moving the lower jaw forward or backward) Should the lower jaw move upward or downward also?
And could you give some suggestions for playing very low register like c? Thanks.

Your lips should never meet in the middle. Your lips should stay exactly the same, so long as you're playing in about the same range. All the tonguing is done with your tongue, hitting the roof of your mouth right behind your two front teeth.
Lip placement is something that's a bit different for everyone, and you kind of have to just figure out. Although here's a hint: When you're playing higher notes, you need a tight emboushure (small hole in your lips) directed a bit higher than usual. And when you're playing lower notes, you may end up using a looser emboushure (bigger hole in your lips) and directing the air a bit more down into the flute.
You'll figure all this out with practice.

Thanks you for answering that. I always wondered about it; now that I know, I will try hard not to let my lips meet together in the middle. So, even if I am playing the middle or high notes with tight embouchure, the lips should never meet. Ok, I get it. And don't you have to raise the lower jaw a little in the low register and drop the lower jaw for middle and high register to get clearer sound?

I couldent have explained it better myself ellie. Great Job :D. And for the jaw question from Musical Mind. It all depends on the individual. But keep this in mind. Always keep your throught open. To help with air support and clairety of the tone. Just practice and see what works best for you. Also it woulds like you are getting or are very past the point where you really need to find a private teacher. Try doing this and they can help you alot more. They can give you visual demenstrations and the can also see you and petter assess what you are doing correct and wrong.
