I have recently start to experiment with the Alttisimo range of the alto sax. I can play chromatically from High F# up to the B above it but I can not find a G finger that will sound easliy, and is technicaly possible to have any velcity with.so please help me complete my Chromatic scale.

all suggestion are welcome.

Here's one that does the trick for me when I go up chromatically:

E-->use 'front' E: Tf23
F-->Tf2
F#-->Tf2|Bb
G-->Tf|Bb
G#-->Tf3|C1

That one works pretty well. It's often hard to balance ease of response with technical ease of fingerings from note to note. Look at all the possibilities on this site, and you'll learn to experiment (add a key here, drop one there) and make your own fingerings that work for any given passage.

Good luck,

Pete

Hello!
I really want to learn my altissimo fingerings. I play tenor sax. As far as getting the high range, where do I start?
