The important point is, where's the A? If you mean the A at the top of the chalumeau register (the throat A), then you can't trill to the B that is at the bottom of the clarion register, because you can't trill across the break between registers. Instead, you must use an alternative fingering that produces the B at the top of the chalumeau register, as Dee has explained.
