I have been playing tenor saxophone for 3 years and I bought a new soprano sax. but ý have a big problem when I didnt played second octave c and upper notes when I played and I came second c and upper notes saxophone stop giving a sound or gives low c
But sprano sax. has no problem because ý bought it I tested others and the same problem continued
Please somebody gives me advices for how can I play upper second octave and third octave in soprano sax.

From tenor to soprano, there is a embourchure change. embourchure has to be tighter and firmer. the mouthpiece is much smaller and is at a different angle. hold the instrument like a clarinet and keep you embourchure smaller. maybe try your air speed? that might be too slow also. hope this helps.

I agree. You need to have a firmer embouchure. The best way to strengthen your embouchure is to practice a lot with a slightly harder reed.

Ive never played soprano, but im a high woodwind person that went to tenor for marching band. I'm thinking you should try pushing the air more from the front of your mouth more then the back of your throat. I dont know if im explaining this well... you know when you play low notes? do the exact opposite, like when you play really high notes like D and such. oh i cant explain it, i give up

But DO NOT hold it like a clarinet (if u have a straight neck), doing that will definetly affect ur sound...(if u have straight, hold it straight out, if u havea curved neck, then u can hold it down like a clarinet)
