I have the right flute to play the low B flat and A flat right below the staff, but I don't know the fingerings. Help!

Are you sure? I've been told that the B natural below the staff is the lowest note on any flute and even then you need a special B Foot to reach it.

In any event, to get the lowest note on your flute, using the fingering that covers all the holes. It is physically impossible to play any lower than this.

There is only ONE flute that can go down ONLY to a Bb no lower unless you have some alto flute or something. There is only one because I heard some really good profesional paid a whole mess of money to get a Bb foot. That is what I have heard. And you could not go to a low Ab, then wouldnt there be a place for a A natural? Then the foot would have about 5 rollers(including the C)on it, and that would be too confusing and heavy for a flute. You probably have an alto or a bass or even maybe an octabass flute OR you dont know what you are talking about, no offense.

did anyone ever consider that she may be referring to concert pitches, transposing up to the alto flute? In that case, since the alto flute plays everything a fourth lower than what is printed, you must play any "concert pitch" UP a fourth. So the concert Ab you were looking for now becomes fingered as a low Db. The Bb you needed is fingered as an Eb.
I hope that's what you were talking about!
