 For English Horn Players
Author: Ken

I play oboe/alto sax on my school's band and orchestra. One of the songs on the band calls for an english horn and my director said he might try to acquire one. If he does, I have no idea where to get any reeds from. Can anyone tell me where to get english horn reeds from.

I play oboe and bassoon and looking forward to playing English Horn. I would reccomend getting reeds from Forrests Music (www.forrestsmusic.com). I have had good luck with their reeds...although they are a little pricey.

Go to wwandbw.com and ask for their free woodwind catelog. Good luck finding English horn reeds because the important things about English horn, is that you need a Bocal that fits the instrument, and a reed that fits the bocal. If you can't find one, you are screwed.
