I have been playing a Yamaha Intermediate Flute for some time and I want to buy a Pearl Flute 765RBE for upgrading. Is there anyone playing the Pearl Flute 765RBE and give me opionion on this flute ? How does it compare with 765RBE-Coda? Besides, is this flute made in the US ?
Best wishes
Richard

I've played the coda series before, and was not impressed with it. When I bought my newest flute, I narrowed it down to a coda and a Yamaha perfessional. I chose the Yamaha. However, a Pearl might better suit you. One of my flute friends just bought a Pearl flute, the next series up from the Coda and she likes it. When I played the Pearl tho I had it about two days when one of the springs popped out and refused to go back in, no matter what I did. You really need to try it out and decide for yourself, I didn't like them, but Pearl is a pretty good name.

I love the Prearl Flutes.. I do not own one but i have tried them in music stores and stuff and really want one. The Cuantz Coda is and awesome instrument at least for me. Like musichick said, just try out the flute and see what works best for you. If you like it best out of the other flutes in your budget range get it.

When we bought my daughter's flute, it was between a Pearl and a Yamaha. We wanted to like the Pearl better since there were options included on the Pearl that weren't included on the Yamaha and the price was slightly less (gold lip-plate, extra key, etc.), but she and her instructor felt the Yamaha felt better ergonomically. I'm sure it has to do with the size of your hands and what you are used to, but do try a few brands before committing.
