if u know those are the tendencies of your horn u should either change your emboucher when u play in the high range and when u play in the low range. but i suggest rolling. its sooo much easier...roll out in the low notes and roll in when u play high notes... i think thats how it goes....hopes this helps.

to me this sounds like a definite embouchure/air pressure problem. I encourage you to look at previous posts on this topic, but I will give you the jist of what they will say:
---1. be as relaxed as possible, inside and outside, to allow for the most resonating space.
2. Try to maintain a "resonant" embouchure: that's to say in the shape of an "O".
3. Keep air pressure (not volume) the same through all registers, and dynamic ranges.

The best advice I can give you is to play long tones. Play a mezzo-forte note (F is a good stable note to start with)and check its tuning. Then, not in front of the tuner, play that note as long as you can without losing pitch or quality of tone.
