My sister has an Armstrong student model 104 flute. When she gets to high school she is going to need a low B foot joint and I was wondering if it's possible to get just a new foot joint that plays to low B instead of getting a whole new flute.

I think U can get custom B foots. If that isnt' available, then U might have to get the parental units to get the lil child a brand new gemeinhardt with a B foot

I dont know about your high school, but at my school we play VERY complicated pieces and not once has the flutes needed a B foot. Just to say, I have not seen a piece for flute with the low B that you couldnt use an alternitave note. Just telling you this so you dont have to go out and buy a whole new flute.

not many pieces in the high school bands*for flutes* go down that low. I'm not a flute player in the top band @ my school, but they don't go down that low. But I think solos might go down to low B.

Yeah, I agree. A B foot isnt necessary for band music. However, if you need a better model, consiter the material the intrument is made of, and the craftmanship
