 Vibrato

Been playing alto sax for approx. year & half, just started to attempt vibrato, any suggestions on practise, correct form, and making it easy

Yes, Vibrato on saxophone is all in the embechoure. while you are playing you have to almost say "wah" while you are playing. I suggest doing different combinations of notes and vibrato, like play 4 same notes at a slow speed, with 4 vibratos on each note, and then increase the tempo, or speed of vibrato, play with it and see what you come up with

vibrato is an easy move.
it is an expressive move.
but what i suggest is to learn the basic and master them becuase once u master them it sounds resonable and meaningful.
to get a successful one you should listen to slow jazz that features a saxophone solos such as Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, dexter gordon( tenor),
and more.
if you hear them they make a vibratos.
in order to exectute one:
play a solid note then in your mind you have to be expressive, so you would tremble your lower jaw carefully.
this takes many efforts to get it naturally.
if your are doing wrong it will squick or be out of tune.
but if you are successful it will produce a mellow sound.
