Hi,

I've been playing the Soprano Clarinet for about a year and decided to go on to play the Bass. Do you think this was a good move, or should i have chose something different?
I brought my Bass for £300 and was told that it was a good price for a Boosey and Hawkes!!! Do you know if this was true?
I am also having trouble with getting the high but of the register over the brake to work, do you know if this is common?
Thanxs for your Help

Muzic PS. could please e-mail me a response as i don't normallycome to forums, and will proberly loose the site address!!! Thanxs again! ( muzic_man@hotmail.com )

My daughter played soprano clarinet in Jr. High and did not like it, so she changed to bass clarinet and stuck with it for 3 more years. I (the mom) have started playing it, because it was collecting dust and I love the sound. I am a flute/piccolo player. Keep up the good work. I know what you mean about going over the break, I am having trouble with that also, but it is coming. It helps to hold down the right hand when possible. It is explained in the Yamaha student books. Talk to your instructor about this, it should help.
