 Which first?

I've decided to learn a brass instrument over the summer, since i currently only play woodwinds and the piano. Any suggestions on what would be the best brass instrument to start on? Trumpet or trombone? even french horn?

You'd be best to start with a cornet. The trumpet requires very strong lip control. The trombone requires a good sense of pitch and the Horn is generally reckoned to be the most difficult of all the brass instruments. A cornet is a good introduction to brass and you can go on from it to playing the trumpet later.
