Help! I have band auditions...we need to know the A natural scale! What are the notes?

key signature - 3 sharps C#, F#, & G#. Start scale on A natural.

I found that ther is an easy way to work out a major scale. Go from the sarting note: then go up a whole tone to B, then go up another whole tone to C# then a semi/half tone to D, then a whole tone to E, then another whole tone to F#, then another whole to G#, then up another semi/half tone to A. I think this works for all major keys but I'm not sure.
