 I need to do an oboe solo for my A level music exam of about grade 6/7 standard (british system). Any suggestions as im really stuck and its got to be performed at the beginning of April.

 Not being British, I don't really know what grade 6 or 7 means.  Could you maybe name some pieces that are at that level or describe some of them to give me an idea of what you're looking for?

 8 is the highest level 
 
I did piano up to level 5 with the British system, so that's how i know.

 Something like the conerto from Malcolm Arnauld, Schumann's 3 romances, Hadels concerto in G minor, Haydn Conerto in C major...for other ideas look at the associated board webstie in the examinations section, looking at grade 6 and 7 lists (it take a while to load up, so be patient).

 they should have a list of pieces that you can play. They being the people who make the festival syllabus. Here, in Canada we go up to level 10, in performance(practical/techincal). I don't have any pieces off hand, but I'm pretty sure there are some standard ones. If you have a music teacher, get him/her to help you find one.
