I dont know if I just made a big mistake: alto sax

Iv been playing Alto for about a year and a half now (orginally played violin for 10 years).. And I decided to finaly buy my own Alto. Well I tested out this Alto at this shop near where I live called 'Bassets'. I payed a little more than a thousand. I mainly got it because of the fact it was easy for me to get low and high notes out and also the tone was alot clearer then my old one. Iv never heard of the brand of this sax before. Its called NYP. I believe it stands for New York Pro. Can anyone give me any information on that brand? I have been searchin high and low to find some.

Now im wondering if I should really regret buying it cause Iv been doing some research into other brands. And found this one site that this guy is selling top of the line sax's at even a lower cost then i payed for my own.

If it sounds good and plays well then it is worth the money you spent on it. Its bound to happen that there are other models available cheaper in other parts of the world.

Because you bought yours from a local shop, you will get much better service and that is worth the extra money. It is normal that small adjustments need to be made to the keys, because they often get slightly out of alignment during shipping. If there are any small problems with it, your shop should be able to fix them on the spot or very quickly. If there are problems with a mail-order company, you would probably be with out your sax for a week or two.

The sax you found on Dominics Music is an Moniue brand correct? I've heard there a scam and not worth it, but, its your money, do whatever you want with it.

well I have never once heard of that brand and I have been playing alto sax for at least 10years now with a break between for my studies, I have had a yamaha from that time and it is still giving me beautiful songs.

One thing about buying a sax is to always get a professional opion as sales persons tend to setup shop that u get a pleasant soumd on the inside but when u go outside it can be a different story.
