I am so curious about the piccolo

I have a sister, she plays the flute. I happen to be a trumpet player. I want to know what is the range of the flute, is it c1-c4? and the range of the piccolo I would love to know, thanks!

The range of the C flute is C4 - C7. Its lowest note is piano middle C, and it extends upward for a 3 octave range. Some flutes have a C foot joint which gives this range, and others have a longer B foot that allows B below middle C to be played.

The range of the piccolo is D5 - A7. It does not have a foot joint, so D is the lowest note.

what do the numbers beside the note mean like a7 or c7. Is the piccolo's highest note higher than the flute's highest note?

The range of the flute is B1 to F4. As far as I know the range of the piccolo is D1 to D4
