If I finger one note on an alto and the same note of a sopranbo, will they sound the same, jsut different octaves?

I gave a general description of transposing in reply to your 'Help' question.
If you sound a note with the same fingering on an Alto and a Soprano sax, they will sound a fifth apart, not an octave. If you for example play a middle C on an Alto sax, it will sound the note Eb. If you play a middle C on a Soprano sax, it will sound the note Bb

The soprano sax is an octave above the tenor sax.

They don't call Bb Soprano sax and Eb Alto sax for nothing. ^_^

they wont sound the same because saprano is alot highter i would know i have allof th saxes includiing baretone and tenor
