Are you playing a Bari that has a low A? Not all of them do.

Well, if you have a second key for your left thumb, right below the octive(sp)? key, that shold be it, just play a low C all main keeys along with the bottm pinky finger key and then press that additional key. Have fun, I play too, but mine is havin' probs, I can't play anything clearly, and it sounds like a dead rabit, lol. But have fun.

Yeah like andrew said. If you have a left thumb key under the place where you put the left thumb hold that down and finger a low c. This is a very difficult note to play...I cant play anyways but i suggest to lower your jaww as much a poissible and Use lots and lots of fast air. Also playing this note will hurt because the bari player at my school says her whole mouth rumbles.

True your whole jaw will "rumble" but it ain't that hard to play, and for high notes you kind of "clinch" your mouth and blow fast air, for lower notes, you don't blow as fast air as for the high notes, but lind slow it down, just a hair. So that you get enough air behind the reed. You should do fine, I'm having my bari redone. pads and kees realined, and air leeks sealed. Hope it helps, lol. But have fun, and to all saxes, saxes freekin rock man! Oh yeah...
