This question is a bit off topic, but when you play the Flute, is it a release for you?
For me, when I play the Flute, I become very emotional and I feel like I'm in another world. The music surrounds me, engulfs my mind and soul. ( I hope I'm not sounding TOO weird, heh...)

I have played the flute for 1+ years so I'm not technically that good.....I have a bad temper and I always end up all grumpy and I will play the flute as if I'm trying to kill someone, LOL. ^_^ But its still a good way for me to release stress despite my bad playing..

hehe ur not i do that too i think i was moving with the music so much when i did my solo for the solo and emsemble thing lol... and even in class i do it ... i mostly do it when i am in the bathroom ( it is the best place to pratice the flute) and i am playing i get every emotional it just mean u either loving ur flute or ur just a plain band nerd like me ... don't worry
