I've always wanted a soprano sax, I've been with alto and tenor, and I plan to get one too, but before I get one I want to know more about it, I always read here something like, the fingering is the same as alto, and stuff like that. That stuff isn't very helpfull, cuz I need to know more about the instrument, and I can't seem to find a actual fingering chart with notes on them on this website, so people who read dis, please write back asite that has them, or something, and I also would like to find altissimo fingerings for the soprano sax. thanx!

The fingering of the soprano sax is the same as the fingering of the alto sax, the tenor sax and all the other saxes. You won't find a separate fingering chart for soprano, because the one chart does for all of them.

The fingering chart given here is the biggest and best on the web so use it. You will find in the altissimo section that some fingerings are more suitable than others for soprano sax.

Well all i can tell you just because its higher pitch you dont have to squeeze a lot untill you get to a hig D and also the low notes are super hard so drop your jaw a lot.

i play soprano. it's the neatest sound, a cross between a clarinet and alto sound. you need a loose embourcher to hit low notes. its really high, and if people have never heard it before, people think its wrong notes because its so high. and i find its really hard to keep in tune on notes F5 and up, for me it goes horribly out of tune, but i play clarinet so i tend to overbite a lot. hope this helps, and practice.
