 Open Hole Alto Flute / Bass Flute

I've heard of open hole Alto/Bass Flute which IS a fact, but how do they work?

They work the same way as the regular flute. But they only mand Alto Flutes with open hold but most ppl do not use it becuase it is hard to keep the holes covered. Bass Fluts DO NOT'T have open holes becuease the keys are to far apart.
