Im a trombone player(3yrs)and i took up Tenor Sax in Summer band last summer. I want to try another woodwind this summer when i go. Would going to an Alto Clarinet be ok. I just have this urge to play a very uncommon WW. any suggestions welcome thanks.

Thats really cool!
I recommend going to the Bass clarinet because of easier blowing. Fingering will come shortly after only if it's easy to blow into the intrument, especially since your coming from a Tenor Sax.
