From my experience, I've found that fingering T -23|-23 with or without the Eb key and trilling LH 3 works well on most piccolos without split-E. The only fingering I have found that works on my Yamaha with split-E is T 1-3|-23 with D trill key, trilling both thumb and LH 1. This latter fingering comes from the Dec. 1997 issue of Flute Talk.
