I'd suggest Standard of Excellence. Start with the red book.

If you want to start the clarinet from scratch, you will need a Soprano Bflat Clarinet with Boehm System fingering. A plastic student model is a good way to start.

I learnt from "Taking up the Clarinet" by Graham Lyons.
