I'm really stuck on these signs;^ /.
The sign ^ hangs on top of a note, and there is a familiar one that looks the same but faces downward and hangs on the bottom of a note.
The other sign / is very bold and hangs on top of a note.
there is another sign but I don't have it on the keyboard
so I can't show you but I can tell.It's a bit like this (
but put it 90degrees clockwise.

I don't know what the "/" sign is. The v signs indicate marcato which is a type of stress similar to an accent. See the following site for examples:

They are accents, I believe. (You know what an accent is, right?)

Actually, > is an accent sign. ^ and \\/ both mean to accent the note AND play it staccato (short). The combine the > (accent sign) and the . (staccato sign). ^ and \\/ sometimes have a '.' in the middle to help with the understanding of this.
