 Beginer Piccolo

Hey, i got bored, so i figured i'd mess around with a piccolo one day, and now i'm hooked. anybody know any good sites/books/anything that would help me with begining it? stuff like proper way to hold the instrument, embesures (sp?) etc. i'd appreciate it :-D

well, for starters this site is great for everything. make sure you have a nice tight and focused embochure. LOTS OF AIR FOR THE HIGH NOTES! use warm air sit up straight cuz this can really affect a piccolo players(let alone any instrument) sound. get a tuner. i dont know any books but there is a whole slew of books you can use out there just ask your teacher or local music shop.well your left goes on top and the right hand on the bottom they have pics here on the way you place your finger just click on the side by piccolo and flute or on the link above. and the book that you buy make sure it includes an easy to read fingering chart and a diagram of where the fingers are supposed to go.
