The older R. Seaman piccolos have a good tone, but the intonation was a little off. He improved the model a year or so before selling his company to Gemindhardt around 1995 or 96.

Miles Zentner was in charge of the less expensive model called the Zentner piccolo. He did not care for the workmanship of the Zentner piccolos and refused to have his name used on any piccolos made by Gemindhardt.

I would be interested in an older Seaman, but not, definately not a new Seaman Piccolo.
