 Bassoon Troubles
Author: Shannon
Date:   2001-11-13 03:09

I often have trouble getting an A to play on my bassoon. The other notes speak nicely, but the A sounds absolutely terrible, almost if I'm stuck between two notes. I play on a Renard bassoon with Heckel bocal provided by my school. If anyone knows what's wrong please help! I thought maybe I could shave my reed a certain way, because adjustments in embochure dont help at all!
Thanks!
