ok first my great uncle sent me a fife in c for the holidays and (even though i play clarinet) i have played a flute before and though im not good at all i could at least figure the fife out and i can play most the fingerings on 2 octaves. my question is because im bored a lot at home, i would like to get some music to play on it. Could i just search for music for a fife in c or for a flute in c or piccalo...or what?

second, my great uncle(same one as above) (this should show you what a great uncle he is) sent my 8 year old sister and how-to-play-bagpipe set...including a childrens bagpipe.
this amused her for all of 10 minutes since she cant read music yet and it interested me so i taught myself the fingerings using the very vague instruction manual. now (same as above) i want music to play on it. But i have absolutely no clue what key its in and i dont think i could just search for bagpipe music because the "bagpipe" is considerably smaller than a normal one....how do i tell what key it is in? its a double reeded instrument, with all holes covered it plays an a(according to the instructions)and the open note is(something i'll come back with it later)
 thanx

Your fife should be able to play anything written for flute or piccolo in the key of C. (no sharps or flats) I do the same thing for my tin whistles. As far as the bagpipe, I don't know.
