I just read "Becoming an Orchestral Musician" and i'd like to thank You a lot, Mr Davis. This is a fantastic book that covers nearly anything to know about the business. As an orchestral musician myself (basoonist, living and playing in Austria), i found the book in a shop in New York during a concert tour and i was inspired to find a publication of this quality about the subject (whithout searching for it, by the way).
I'm wondering if there are any translations planned, because i'd be glad to see a german translation to refer it to some colleagues and students (and young conductors!!!). Maybe, such a version should additionally cover some words about the audition/ probationary-year situation in Germany and Austria which is slightly different from the UK's system.
