Hi, I am in high school now, and I was wondering what it takes to get into All-Eastern band. I trying to shoot for that this year.

All-Eastern, as in All State East? Or am I just thinking of something else?

I am talking about like one level above all-state. Like the east coast high school band.

Hi John...i play the French horn and I participated in All-Eastern last year. I was told that the combination of my scores from each year of all-state are added together. Then, about a year before the actual festival, I received a recommendation for it and I had to write a resume. Then I was told of my acceptance. Once you get to All-Eastern, your part is determined, but you must audition for your chair. Best of wishes to you, just do great in All-State!
