How does one go about doing a gliss. on a clarinet?

i normally slide my fingers up, uncovering the tone holes quickly, but with some semblance of a movement between the notes... you can also just sort of do a REALLY fast run, think 128th notes at 60bpm. slur it, and noone can tell the difference, at least, noone that ive met yet... they just think its one "note".
