i was wondering, for those of y'all who are in marching band..how far are you in your show?.. we're about half way done..and school starts next week...we've been marchingfor abt a week and a half and havent been learning our show for even a week
what music are you doing?
we are doing "pablo"

We're about half way through. We've been going to band camp for about a week and a half now. This year we are playing music from the mask of zorro. Oh and good luck on your show fellow clarinet.

We have finished learning our first show already (we are doing three this year, at the end we will put them all together for competition). We are doing a disney show. its kinda cool. for our annual lights out show, we are going to add fireworks, and for competition we are going to have everyone carry glitter for the finale.

I just finished a week long band camp last month. (The first regular rehearsal is tomorrow.) We got our pregame and our first halftime show done. All those need is a little polish. The pregame is just the traditional one they do every year. But the halftime show is a cool selection of broadway pieces: Jasbo (from Porgy and Bess), Luck be a Lady, and Highlights from West Side Story. During West Side story we do a cool march in which we alternate between two steps a measure and three steps a measure.
Now we just have to put together our second halftime show, a patriotic show, a homecoming show, and a special alumni show.
Good luck with everyone else's shows I know we'll need a little .

We have three songs that we are doing this year. We just finished are first week of camp yesterday and we just finished all of the first song. We are doing Virtrivian Man.

We've been marching for about five weeks now. Our show's Earth, Wind & Fire, and it's really coming along. Our opener is really strong, although the closer could use some work. Last night we had our first show, and we have another one tonight in about two hours. Can't wait!!!

hey fastkid - - omgosh are you serious? the mask of zorro music is incredible... we were just at a standstill comp. at eastern and we heard a band play that. OMGOSHhh
but i wasn't happy with our performance. we got first place two weeks in a row, then we went to this stupid standstill (because of rain) and got fourth.
mainland beat us. i don't know if you're from my area and have ever heard them, but they're awesome.
